At Long Last, ‘All the Boys Love Mandy Lane’ Is HERE!!!!!

Before hitting theaters October 6, Warm Bodies director Jonathan Levine’s intense thriller All the Boys Love Mandy Lane is finally available on various VOD platforms – a shocking seven years after its Toronto Film Festival Midnight premiere! If you haven’t already found a copy overseas, please take tonight to enjoy one of the best genre thrillers in the past ten years. If anything, you’ll fall for Amber Heard in her breakthrough role as Mandy Lane…

Here’s our review from years ago. The film was produced by Snoot, who is the producing team behind the awesome You’re Next, now in theaters.

Starring Amber Heard and Anson Mount, “All the Boys Love Mandy Lane is about a group of high-schoolers who invite Mandy Lane, “a good girl” who becomes the object of everyone’s affection after returning from summer break, to a weekend party on a secluded ranch. While the festivities rage on, the number of revelers begins to mysteriously drop one at a time.

Good flick. Don’t know if it warrants all the love that this site gives it though. Maybe it’s Amber Heard. Can’t blame you.

I watched this many years ago at FrightFest in London and it was just a generic by the numbers movie which uses every cliche in the book. I really don’t get what the big deal is. Also i wont give the twist, although every one will guess it already. But once you know it, it makes certain scenes stupid like they were staged for the watching audience to disguise the obvious twist. Better to rent it as it doesn’t hold up on second watching – though the bit with the drunk guy jumping of the roof into the swimming pool to impress woman was funny….especially as he misses the pool. 🙂

Meh… Its okay but doesn’t live up to the hype. Its kind of a glorified ABC Family movie.

I remember seeing the trailer for this movie years ago and getting excited. Then I saw the film. Generic, boring, bad characters, lame death scenes and a stupid twist is what I remember. But regardless, I’m glad it’s getting a release for those of you who like or haven’t seen it yet.

It was ok. not that great. It had great lighting, sound effects and cinematography. The special effects were good but the ending was utter shit (especially the twist).

  • Samhain2010

Really don’t get the love for movie. It’s actually a BAD movie. You would think after having seven years to re-think their review, BD would finally admit to it being a stinker.

  • Ultrazilla

I saw this about two years ago, and was very underwhelmed. Not the worst, but so over hyped its ridiculous! Not sure if Mr D helped finance this, or if he just has a major boner for the lead actress…

  • Mater-Suspiriorum

This movie was way overhyped (and some major movie pulled the same twist ending since then).
