[TV] This Season On FOX’s “Sleepy Hollow”: Episode 1×02, “Blood Moon” Promo

While I really dug the concept of the Four Horsemen returning to the town of Sleepy Hollow, I wasn’t really enamored by FOX’s show of the same name. It definitely had some cool scenes, and even a few scares, but was dragged down by heavy exposition and insane plot points – although, I guess it’s important that the pilot presentation help the viewer understand some of it (not necessarily all of it). I think “Sleepy Hollow” answered too many questions. I give every show 3 episodes, and will do the same for this retelling…

In episode 1.02, “Blood moon,” airing September 23, “A scary vision from Ichabod’s former wife, Katrina, sends him and Abbie on a hunt for an 18th-century witch who’s out for revenge in Sleepy Hollow. Meanwhile, Andy returns to the force and undertakes a questionable mission.

Check out the promo and a look ahead below. What were your initial thoughts?

Here are images from the second episode.

Now that I had more time to think about it, I’d say the debut last night was DECENT at best.

I dunno. The story was so over the top, and the plot twists were just too ridiculous to the point, where it was hard to suspend disbelief for them. Although, the POV of of the Horseman beheading the priest was pretty cool.

Will come back to see what happens next week, but if I don’t like what I see, I’ll drop Sleepy Hollow altogether like I did with Under The Dome.

Zombie-Killa, i haven’t watched HOLLOW yet but i fully expect it to be canceled before the full season is out (same with DRACULA which is on NBC). i can’t lie DOME has grown on me and while it has some incredibly horrible writing, it’s become a guilty pleasure for me! lol.

      Haha!

The Headless Horseman was bad ass, and I like the idea of taking the story and putting it into a modern day context. I dunno. I guess I’m too picky! lol.

And you have my utmost respect for sticking with Under The Dome. I really, REALLY tried to get into it, but I just couldn’t stick it out. At this point, I’m just waiting for American Horror Story to come back to give me my horror fix! lol.
