Finally, An Official Trailer For ‘Argento’s Dracula’

Dario Argento’s Dracula 3D has been retitled to Argento’s Dracula, and will release on October 4, both in select theaters and on cable and digital VOD. Today the official trailer has finally been released – what do you guys think of it?

The film is based on the original novel by Bram Stroker, about the vampire Dracula, an icon of twentieth century culture.

Thomas Kretschmann, Marta Gastini, Rutger Hauer, Asia Argento, Miguel Angel Silvestre, and Miriam Giovanelli all star.

Horror master Dario Argento returns with a bloody, luridly creepy 3D version of the classic vampire tale, drenched in gore and sex. An unsuspecting Englishman arrives in Transylvania, lured by a job with a local nobleman. But the undead Count Dracula’s real target is the man’s innocent young wife. Featuring the iconic Rutger Hauer as vampire hunter Van Helsing and the inimitable Asia Argento (the director’s own daughter) as a local all-too-eager to fall under the Count’s sway.

If you told me this was a low budget made for tv movie I would believe it. “He’s evil I tell you…eeevil!”

    • Canucklehead

Pretty sure that was Abe Simpson wasnt it?

      • BabyJaneHudson

Totally is (evil doll), that’s what made me laugh when I heard it in a serious context!

  • K-Dogg

    ummmm, no thnx !!!

  • Canucklehead

The fact that this is in 3D makes me want to see it less

Why oh why must it be full of SyFy channel caliber cgi? Bad acting I can deal with, silly script I can deal with, but cable TV quality cgi is where I draw the line. I’ll watch this, but I’ll be cursing under my breathe during ever painful transformation and scream at the camera.

As a huge Argento fan, it is so sad to see how far he has fallen. He has lost every bit of his unique style that made me fall in love with his work. I’ll check this out regardless, but I haven’t liked a film of his in quite some time.

The poster’s pretty bad ass… CGI is a little distracting. God damn CGI, If you can’t afford to make it look good then don’t use it.

looks like syfy shit in a coffin and added fangs to it while filming in 3d… what a letdown… oh wait, I wasn’t expecting a good movie anyway

I can’t fucking believe that Dario Argento would be able to make the bad ass films he has and then somehow make this and release this trailer and not realize how fucking terrible and cheesy it obviously is.

  • Darkness69

I absolutely love Rutger Hauer and Thomas Kretchmann, so I’ll give it a go, despite the way it looks.

this does not bode well. that trailer made the movie look like shit.
