“Pushing Daises” and “Glee’s” Kristin Chenoweth is in negotiations to join Jennifer Lopez in Rob Cohen’s thriller The Boy Next Door, two individuals familiar with the Universal project have told TheWrap.
“Lopez stars as a single mom who has a lustful affair with a teenage neighbor who befriends her son. When she tries to end the relationship, trouble ensues.”
Chenoweth will play Lopez’s best friend.
Jason Blum is producing the movie under his Blumhouse banner.
Smart Entertainment’s John Jacobs is also producing the low-budget movie with Lopez’s manager Benny Medina and Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas of Lopez’s Nuyorican Productions banner. Zac Unterman will executive produce.
