The series finale of the hit TV show Dexter is fast approaching and fans are on the edge of their seat wondering what the final episode will bring. But for composer Daniel Licht, his work is already done and it ended with a rather bloody and painful twist. A video diary of the final scoring session can be seen below.
Licht states, “I incorporate the sound of a surgical tool clanking against a wooden block or a knife cutting through an animal carcass with a full orchestra to illustrate the depth of each killing Dexter commits, whilst having a cognitive response from the audience.”
Dexter actor Michael C. Hall said, “Dan creates the aural landscape that sets the tone for us. I feel like it’s a fundamental part, as much as any character.”
