Trailer and Poster Goes ‘Solo’ For New VOD Title
Written and directed by Isaac Cravit, and starring Annie Clark, Daniel Kash and Richard Clarkinold, here’s the trailer and art for Solo, on VOD/digital to buy or rent October 22nd.
“17-year-old Gillian takes a job as a counselor at a remote summer camp. As part of her initiation, she must spend two nights by herself on the camp’s island, an intimidating collision of rock and wilderness carved out of the lake, supposedly haunted by the ghost of a camper who disappeared suspiciously decades before. When Gilllian’s “solo” is interrupted by a local man responding to a distress call, what was meant to be a peaceful time alone in nature devolves into something disturbingly different. As her paranoia mounts, a horrifying secret is uprooted and Gillian finds herself in a desperate fight to survive.“

Al Pacino and Dan Stevens have both joined the cast of the upcoming exorcism horror movie from XYZ Films and director David Midell, Variety reports this afternoon.
Based on a true story, the film “follows two priests — one questioning his faith (Stevens) and one reckoning with a troubled past (Pacino) — who must put aside their differences to save a possessed young woman through a difficult and dangerous series of exorcisms.”
Variety details, “The film is an authentic portrayal of Emma Schmidt, an American woman whose demonic possession culminated in harrowing exorcisms. Her case remains the most thoroughly documented exorcism in American history.”
David Midell and Enrico Natale wrote the screenplay for The Ritual.
XYZ Films is planning to release the horror film theatrically in 2025.
