Join Us For A Chucky Marathon Tomorrow!!! ‘Child’s Play 2′ All The Way Up To ‘Curse Of Chucky!’

curse-of-chucky

Universal Home Entertainment unleashed the excellent Curse of Chucky, directed by series creator Don Mancini on Blu-ray and DVD today! As evidenced by Brad’s review, we’re fans of the film here at Bloody-Disgusting.

Even better? The film is included on Universal’s Chucky: The Complete Collection which collects ALL of the Chucky movies on Blu-ray! In fact, I’ve got it in my hands right now and it looks to have some rad special features as well as unrated cuts of Seed Of Chucky and Curse Of Chucky.

To celebrate we’re going to do a live tweet marathon starting with Child’s Play 2 and going straight through the day up until the end of Curse Of Chucky. For complex reasons we’re going to skip Child’s Play and head straight into sequel-ville. If you want a head start, watch the original film starting at 8:20AM PST.

You can follow the live tweet marathon at @BDisgusting starting at 10AM PST/1PM EST. Feel free to tweet at us and interact! If we temporarily exceed our tweet allowance we’ll switch to @EvanDickson before switching back. Let’s use the hashtag #ChuckyBox The schedule is as follows:

Child’s Play 2 – 10AM PST
Child’s Play 3 – 1135 AM PST
Bride Of Chucky – 105PM PST
Seed Of Chucky (Unrated) – 240PM PST
Curse Of Chucky (Unrated) – 415PM PST

I’m assuming this will work out to be some ungodly hour here in Melbourne, Australia.

    Oh well haha

So the first Child’s Play, which is the best, won’t be included on the Marathon? Why not?

This seams to be a good and fun idea. To bad all the Chucky movies are horrible.

Oh please. The original is a classic and has every right to be. One would also argue that Childs play 2 even bests it in many ways. Maybe you should stick to the serious cinesnob generic stock picks of the ‘nose up in the air’ litter such as Psycho, Halloween ect. Nothing against those movies, they’re great. But they’re so public domain.

Seed of Chucky was terrible. Curse of Chucky just brought it to a new level of sucking

SEED was an abomination that doesn’t have the right to exist. :P Bride was a blast back in the theaters(Although i’m not a fan of it these days), while 1 & 2 are easily the cream of the crop. Just got Curse of Chucky in the mail today, going to have my own little chucky Marathon starting tomorrow night. XD Hopefully it lives up to the semi-solid praise it’s been getting.
