‘State Of Decay’ Sells A Million Copies, DLC Incoming

Indie developer Undead Labs has a massive hit on their hands with their post-apocalyptic XBLA title State of Decay, which recently arrived Steam Early Access. It sold 250,000 in 48 hours, and passed the half million milestone a couple weeks later. Apparently, the sales just keep coming, as State of Decay recently passed the million sold mark. That’s amazing.

To celebrate, developer Undead Labs revealed an expansion called State of Decay: Breakdown, which is content complete and has been submitted to Microsoft for “pre-certification testing.” Their plan is to release the DLC by the end of the month, just in time for Halloween.

Seeing this is an XLBA release, I am very stoked for the developers. Its a fun game, with some good features for the price point it is set at. I am holding them to a far higher standard if their sequel is being released at a higher price point, as for constructive criticisms sake, the first one was pretty limiting.
