KaBOOM! Studios will take part in the Halloween festivities this year, making the ever-loveable world of Ooo a frighteningly surreal one for Finn, Jake, and the gang. Ooo is already a very, very strange place so I can’t image what the team has in story for the anthology-style “Spooktacular” one-shot.
Official Press Release:
Oct 9th, 2013 – Los Angeles, CA – KaBOOM! Studios, an imprint of BOOM! Studios, is proud to announce the newest installment of ADVENTURE TIME comic book fun, ADVENTURE TIME: 2013 SPOOOKTACULAR #1. ADVENTURE TIME 2013 SPOOKTACULAR ships with a main cover illustrated by Becky Dreistadt (Tiny Kitten Teeth) as well as retailer incentive variant covers by Ming Doyle and Jones Wiedle. And as an extra “treat” for fans, the special will include a yet-to-be-announced bonus story that you won’t want to miss!
WHY WE LOVE IT: The surreal, post-apocalyptic world of Ooo is already a little bit spooky, which makes it perfect for a collection of funnily scary stories.
