[Boredom Bytes] EPIC Fan-Made ‘Portal’, ‘Half-Life’ And ‘Mortal Kombat’ Shorts!

BB_MortalKombat

It’s Saturday, and since the weekend usually can’t be relied upon to produce any real news, I like to fill the gaps with fun stuff, like these three incredible fan-made videos inspired by Half-Life, Portal and Mortal Kombat. They’re all pretty great, but I’ll leave it up to you to decide which is best. Feel free to let me know which film you most enjoyed in the comments!

Wait a second. I have three fan-made videos and one of them is related to Half-Life? Did I just confirm Half-Life 3? I think I did! You heard it here first, folks!

Anyway, this video, dubbed Half-Life: Raise the Bar — that will make sense in a minute — serves as a prequel of sorts to the original Half-Life. It’s an origin story for what would soon become one of the most iconic alien-fighting duos of all time: Gordon Freeman and his crowbar. Grab some popcorn, crank up the volume and enjoy.

In the first thirty seconds of this amazing fan-made Portal short, there’s baking and cake! What more could you want? This film is actually moderately creepy, it sort of has a Resident Evil vibe to it.

In this intensely badass fan-made Mortal Kombat video, which I think is far more entertaining than the whole of MK: Legacy II, Scorpion and Noob Saibot face off in an epic fight where only one will make it out alive. Who gets the fatality? Watch it and find out!

Have a question? Feel free to ever-so-gently toss Adam an email, or follow him on Twitter and Bloody Disgusting.

“…which I think is far more entertaining than the whole of MK: Legacy II.”

Sad thing is, that’s so true. I really hope the new movie has nothing to do with the webseries.

Yeah, I enjoyed the first season of Legacy because it was fresh and different, but the second season was hugely disappointing.

its ery true, tbh the 1st series was not that great at all anyway, received way too much hype and the 2nd series is just plain bad

this clip was better than both series, though I would not like to see a movie use the game screens etc

saying this, if for the movie they are still using that horrid plot about a simple shop worker who finds he has powers then the movies gonna be just as bad
