Avril Lavigne Releases “Bad Girl Ft. Marilyn Manson”

Pop-punk rocker Avril Lavigne has released a new track called “Bad Girl” that features shock rocker Marilyn Manson. The track comes from Lavigne’s self-titled fifth album, which comes out November 5th. A low-quality version can be heard below (but act quick as it seems like any videos with the track are being yanked pretty quickly).

Pre-order Avril Lavigne via iTunes.

i thought that was Shirley Manson from Garbage in that main pic.

  • RubenVeritas

LoL I like how random your music posts are. Next time you should do Britney Spears she has a new song coming out called “Perfume”. I mean drag queen was featured why not Britney lmao

    • RubenVeritas

haha meant to write in Lady GaGa at the end

      • JonathanBarkan

If there’s a horror connection or we feel that the readers will enjoy the article, why not?

        • djblack1313

Jonathan, exactly! i enjoy that this site has articles like this (even though i’m not into Avril) and Joan Jett etc, etc.

  • Sick_skwerl

Goddamn Manson- he’s doing a tv show and now he’s singing with Avril. What happened, Marylin, you used to be cool

  • Nothing333

Manson entertained me on The Talking Dead last night by stating that Carol needs some Activia. Today i find out that this song exists. Coolness points gained automatically lost.

    • djblack1313

Nothing333, i haven’t seen that ep of TALKING DEAD but what did Manson mean by that Carol/Activia comment?

      • VampireJack

Probably implying the likeness of Carol and Jamie Lee Curtis.

  • jack

*greaaaat* find jonathan… you always put in so much effort to find interesting music of integrity, relevance and refined taste to share with us. It’s so refreshing and delightful to discover the rare and hard-to-find esoterica that you simply cannot find anywhere else on the internet. Especially delicious music that is so fiercely related to the world of horror. Avril is SO AVANTE-GARDE! I’ve never heard of her! I commend your integrity as you truly go to great lengths to find such wonderful material and show you *really* care by only sharing the absolute BEST of the best with us. BRAV-FUCKIN-O

    • JonathanBarkan

You honestly make me really happy.

      • jack

because I am capable of expressing character, wit and thought-out commentary in my writing and it gives you something to aspire to?

        • djblack1313

^^^delusional, bitter party of one. how’s your “amazing” writing career going jack? won any Pulitzers lately? i mean other than in your own mind, of course.

          • jack

teehee. nobody was talking to you dj. shut up. your breath stinks of all the assholes you’ve been licking.

the thing is, I’m *not* a writer. that’s what gives an extra burn. just run along and go and post on all the other articles you haven’t chimed in on yet. o… there are none… you comment on everything. no life.

          • djblack1313

poor little jackie. no one’s licking your asshole? is that why you’re so bitter? and i’m glad you think you burned anyone. LOL. all you’ve managed to do is show you’re “tough” and “witty” from the safety behind your computer screen in mom’s basement.

by all means continue your delusion of thinking you burned someone. BTW when you have to tell people you burned them….you really didn’t. LOL. 🙂

        • JonathanBarkan

No. It’s because you put so much energy into these comments while completely ignoring the other articles I post, many of which are 100% related directly to horror. For example, I posted about the limited edition vinyl of The Wicker Man. Any comment there?
You cherry pick articles so that you can mock me and try to get under my skin. But the really amusing thing is you don’t even penetrate a single layer. Rather, as I’ve stated, you make me happy. You’re the type of person that, were we able to go grab a beer, I believe we’d actually get along really well.
So please continue writing these comments. To paraphrase Jack Nicholson’s Joker, they always bring a smile to my face!

          • djblack1313

Jonathan you are FAR more magnanimous than i am towards people like the Pulitzer prize winner that is jack. lol. i respect that.

          • JonathanBarkan

@djblack1313 No point in getting mad. I’d rather make friends. If jack isn’t into that, his loss. I’m a pretty awesome person, haha! 😉

  • Chris

I listen to mostly metal, but if I’m at work and the radio’s on, I’d rather hear this (something, even slightly, connected to metal) than the shit that I have to currently suffer ie one direction, katy perry etc

    • Midian2013

my thoughts exatly if i have to work id rather have this then elavator least it has manson in it

  • ThunderDragoon

Wow. This is the best song she’s done since Take Me Away (which was almost 10 years ago). Good job, Avril.

  • dr.lamb

This is sad on so many levels. Two artists who are afraid of becoming irrelevant for good work together, even if they would not have touched each other with a 10ft pole when they were at the height of their fame. Now that they finally collaborate, the audience does not care anymore. It’s like with the new Schwarzenegger/Stallone movie- too late, too little. I am curious if this works out- Lavigne is trying too hard to play the bad girl, but her antics aren’t that shocking anymore, because other girly stars upped the ante in terms of bad behaviour in the last 10 years. You gotta have tried much harder drugs and been jailed at least once.
And Manson should take a step back and look at his whole body of work, maybe take a timeout before he continues his musical career. I still think he’s got it in him, but right now he is in danger of overstraining his own shtick.
Btw, looking at the posts above, I just want to state hereby that I am only criticizing the artists and their music, not dissing the author who posted this although this is below us tough guys/gals (noises of slurping cocoa).

    • JonathanBarkan

If there are marshmallows in that cocoa then I’m coming over, we’re building a couch/blanket fort, and we’re watching horror movies all day long with that delicious beverage. Deal?

      • dr.lamb

Deal ! I already built a fortress out of sofa pillows !

        • JonathanBarkan

I’m bringing my TMNT sleeping bag and a copy of Scary Stories Treasury. This is gonna be the coolest!!

          • dr.lamb

            Yippieehh 🙂

          • Darkness69

Wow, sounds like fun! Can I come and bring some copies of Dylan Dog? =)

          • JonathanBarkan

I’m thinking a Bloody-Disgusting slumber party is in order!

  • eloycamacho

What is it with people feeling the need to express their pretentiousness. Like, wow, you’re so cool for clicking on the fucking link for a song that you didn’t wanna hear to state how superior you are. Get over it. It’s a song.

  • Darkness69

Now, upon hearing the song, I must admit it sorta works. Granted, this could not have been possible ten years ago, not just because of the reasons dr.lamb mentions, but also because their music alone was diametrically opposite (thinking here of the Antichrist Superstar era, for example) – and here we are, listening to something that sounds almost like a mash-up. I need a new and absolutely cool Manson album to dig this personally, to an extent at least.

  • porcupinetheater

This really sounds like a ripoff of Freak Like Me by Halestorm.
