Pulp bros Fabian Rangel Jr and Frank J. Barbiere have announced today via twitter a partnership that is set to begin with “Five Ghosts” # 7. “Doc Unknown” will serve as backups to the fantastic series. While this announcement may come as a surprise to some, anyone who has read either series will understand that they belong together.
For the uninitiated, “Doc Unknown” is a pulp adventure following the misadventures of the titular vigilante hero, seeing him battle the villainous Boss Snake. (Rangel just crowdfunded a Boss Snake one shot.) While “Five Ghosts” follows treasure hunter Fabian Gray who after mysterious encounter with a fabled artifact called the dreamstone finds himself housing the ghosts of five literary characters.
This is a match made in heaven and I can’t wait to see what this partnership brings.
