The Awesome ‘Prisoners’ Is Dated For Home Video

Warner Bros. has a release date and cover art for their Blu-ray Combo Pack (Blu-ray/DVD/UltraViolet) and DVD releases of Denis Villeneuve’s tense drama, Prisoners, in stores December 17. DVD Active says there are no full specs for the time being, but WB did include the back cover art for the Blu-ray Combo Pack will feature 1080p, 1.85:1 Video, DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 English, Dolby Digital 5.1 Spanish & French Audio, English SDH, Spanish & French Subtitles, Prisoners: Every Moment Matters, and Prisoners: Powerful Performances.

How far would you go to protect your child? Keller Dover (Hugh Jackman) is facing every parent’s worst nightmare. His six-year-old daughter, Anna, is missing, together with her young friend, Joy, and as minutes turn to hours, panic sets in. The only lead is a dilapidated RV that had earlier been parked on their street. Heading the investigation, Detective Loki (Jake Gyllenhaal) arrests its driver, Alex Jones (Paul Dano), but a lack of evidence forces the only suspect’s release. Knowing his child’s life is at stake, the frantic Dover decides he has no choice but to take matters into his own hands. But just how far will this desperate father go to protect his family?
