Entertainment One Films US has acquired North American distribution rights to two films: horror thriller The Hunted and zombie comedy April Apocalypse, pictured above, Bloody Disgusting learned.
The Hunted was written, directed by and stars The Collector‘s Josh Stewart, while Brett Forbes and Patrick Rizzotti produced via their Fortress Features banner.
In the found-footage The Hunted (watch the trailer below), “chasing their dream of landing their own hunting show, two hunters head into the dense, secluded mountains of West Virginia only to realize they are not alone.”
April Apocalypse was directed by Jarret Tarnol from a script by Brent Tarnol, who both produced the film via their Tarnol Group Pictures banner. The film stars Reece Thompson and Rebekah Brandes, with Brent Tarnol, Stephanie Hunt, Todd Stashwick, Mark Rolston, Sarah Hyland, Roger Bart and George Lopez.
In April Apocalypse, “after finally building the courage to sweep his dream girl April off her feet, hopeless Artie crashes his car and wakes up in the middle of the Zombie Apocalypse. With more power and courage than ever before, Artie’s love for April transforms him into a bad-ass zombie slayer taking down everything that steps in his path. With an infected bite on Artie’s hand, time is of the essence as he must save April before he turns into a flesh eater himself.”
