The hit mobile vidogame Temple Run is heading for the big screen, as Gravity producer David Heyman and Warner Bros. are in talks to acquire movie rights, says Variety.
“Temple Run,” which debuted in 2011 from Imangi Studios, is centered on a player being chased by “demonic monkeys after stealing an idol from a temple.”
The game, designed and programmed by Keith Shepherd and Natalia Luckyanova, is usually played on mobile devices. Sequels to the original game were released earlier this year.
Lynn Harris will oversee “Temple Run” for the studio.
