Someone Recreated ‘Silent Hill 2’ In ‘Minecraft’

I’ve been adamant regarding my position on Minecraft as a horror game, even going so far as to offer a chilling firsthand account of my time with it as proof.

Whether or not you agree with me, there’s no arguing that this incredible mod for the game isn’t survival horror. Some talented soul has faithfully recreated Silent Hill 2 — arguably the greatest survival horror game of all time — in Minecraft, complete with voice acting, cinematics and monsters that have been re-textured to make them more nightmarish. It even has that lovely sound effect that triggers when you pick up an item in Silent Hill. That’s some damn fine attention to detail right there.

See it in action after the jump!

While I do not (yet) play Minecraft, it looks like an open ended game with Legos… so there is only the limit we bring. Am I right? Am I wrong? My God, what have I done?

I’d say you’re spot on. The only limit is your creativity. (and maybe a lack of curved edges)

Any word on if this will be available for Xbox 360 Minecrafters? I don’t get to play it on PC… *Sheds a tear* :'(
