Over the weekend Sony announced the PlayStation 4, which hit retail shelves this past Friday in the U.S. and Canada, has sold more than one million units within the first 24 hours of its launch. Notice how they said sold instead of shipped, that makes the announcement significantly more impressive. This is a fantastic start for the new console, and I’m sure the solid launch line-up didn’t hurt.
The PS4 invades Europe on November 29th, hopefully it’s release across the pond will prove as successful. The same goes for the Xbox One, which releases on Friday, November 22nd. Both consoles deserve smooth launches.
PS4 has sold through over 1 million units within 24 hours of the launch in North America!!! 😀
