The Real ‘Godzilla’ Trailer Will Roar This Week!!

Mark your calendars for this coming Tuesday, December 10 to catch the world trailer debut of Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures’ Godzilla, which we’ll have right here on Bloody Disgusting!

Monsters‘ Gareth Edwards directs the all star cast including Elizabeth Olsen, Bryan Cranston, Aaron Johnson, Juliette Binoche, David Strathairn, Ken Watanabe, Richard T. Jones, Sally Hawkins, Akira Takarada, Victor Rasuk, Yuki Morita, and C.J. Adams.

In theaters May 16, 2014, an epic rebirth to Toho’s iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure pits the world’s most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.

Making his first appearance in 1954 (Gojira) Godzilla is a giant monster that lives in the sea that comes from the ocean to feed on mankind.

I could be wrong but I thought this leaked last week. I either watched it or a really nice teaser

    • It could’ve been some recoded footage from a Comic-Con. That happens a lot. I remember they same thing with The Amazing Spider-Man 2 trailer not too long ago, before they released it to the public a few days ago.

this showed a really big monster carcass laying on the ground and dust everywhere, overlayed with some dialogue. fade to black with a roar. then Godzilla cuts in after the blackout moment with another roar. it was wicked… might be the same footage as comicon but this was completely clear, no hand cam stuff

  • CAN’T WAIT!!!!

    Totally pumped for Godzilla!

i don’t mean to be a pessimist but i get psyched every decade or so when they churn out another attempt at Godzilla.. that old black & white 1950’s version with Raymond Burr left a big impression when i was a little tyke growing up in the 70’s.. even as a youngster i knew the difference in quality after years and years and one attempt after another nothing seem to measure up…some were better than others..barely
then there was the Mathew Broderick thing complete with Jurrasic Park looking Raptors at Madison Square Garden…Oh that was a letdown…
one can only hope this guy nails it..they already have my dollars..yes i’m in but until then i think i’ll stay calm and not get caught up in the hooplah in case this ends up in heartache..

I think it’s safe to say this will be better than the 1998 shit fest. Not saying it is guaranteed to be perfect, but with actual Godzilla fans at the helm, it won’t be terrible. Gareth actually respects the Toho legacy, the Emmerich crew thought of Godzilla as drivel that “they could do better.” Boy were they wrong.

the footage I watched last week was better than the 1998 film and it was only a minute long. unless they really tricked us… Godzilla’s back
