Spike’s newly rebranded video games award show, the VGX, ended last night. If you skipped it, don’t worry, you didn’t miss much. There were a bunch of announcements though, enough so that I wasn’t able to cover them all last night. I’ll be remedying that now with a few more reveals that came out of the event, starting with the space exploration sim, No Man’s Sky. It looks amazing.
Developed by Hello Games, the makers of Joe Danger, No Man’s Sky is a gargantuan, procedurally generated exploration game where you can explore everything. When you’re done exploring, you can take a break from that to blow up other players. It’s still fairly mysterious, but the trailer — which you can see after the jump — shows off some of what you can look forward to when it ships. I was worried I’d leave the VGX disappointed, until this beautiful game came and stole the show. Check it out.
