The hunt is on when You’re Next arrives on Blu-ray Combo Pack (plus DVD and Digital HD Ultraviolet) and DVD (plus Digital Ultraviolet) on January 14, 2014 from Lionsgate Home Entertainment. The slasher will also be available on early Digital HD, Video on Demand and Pay-Per-View on December 27, 2013.

You’re Next features a terrific ensemble cast including Sharni Vinson (the upcoming Patrick remake), Nick Tucci (Choose, Undocumented), Wendy Glenn (11-11-11), AJ Bowen (A Horrible Way to Die, The House of the Devil, The Signal), Joe Swanberg (A Horrible Way to Die, V/H/S), Margaret Laney, Amy Seimetz (A Horrible Way to Die), Ti West (The Roost, The House of the Devil, The Innkeepers), Calvin Reeder (V/H/S, The Rambler), Larry Fessenden (Habit, The Last Winter), Kate Lyn Sheil (V/H/S), Barbara Crampton (Re-Animator, From Beyond and Castle Freak) and Rob Moran.

Aubrey and Paul Davison decide to celebrate their wedding anniversary by inviting their four children and their significant others to a family reunion at their remote weekend estate. But the family reunion goes awry when their home comes under siege by a mask-wearing team of crossbow-bearing assailants. The family has no idea who’s attacking them, why they’re under attack or if the attackers are inside or outside the cavernous, creaking house. All they know for certain is that nobody is safe.

i enjoyed this movie for the most part and i will buy it on BR but i didn’t really find anything funny about it. i keep hearing about how the humor is in the movie (albeit not in a wink wink kind of way) but i just didn’t see it. (in the video above) he mentions that the one brother walking around with an arrow in his back is funny but i just don’t get it. that was funny?

again, good movie though. Sharni made the movie as good as it was. that being said this was not the Holy Grail of movies that many reviewers made it out to be. it’s enjoyable but in no way (IMO) is it a masterpiece.
