Shout! Factory will release the French horror action thriller Dead Shadows, produced and directed by David Cholewa, on home video April 22.

Check out the incredible cover art below. Extras include the original French language track (with English subtitles) along with an English-dubbed track option.

David Cholewa’s first feature film Dead ShadowsTells the terrifying story about a young man, Chris, whose parents were brutally killed 11 years ago, on the same day that the comet of Haley could be seen from earth. Tonight, a new comet is going to appear and everyone in his building are getting ready for a party to celebrate the event. There’s even an apocalypse theory going around. As the night falls, Chris starts to discover that people are acting strange – and it seems to somehow be connected to the comet. People are becoming disoriented and violent and it doesn’t take long before they start mutating into something from beyond this world. In a fight for survival, Chris has to try to escape from his building with the help from some other tenants – but will they make it out alive?

Sounds like a remake of Night of the Comet?

i’ve been wondering about this movie since the cover art (i think it was the cover art) & news about the film was first brought up on this site many months ago.

and the DVD/BR cover art sucks ass but the poster art seen here:

is indeed awesome. this is a perfect example for that article/video BD posted regarding how terrible posters/dvd art is today compared to the 70′s & 80′s.

This sounds pretty fantastic. I’ll be pre-ordering this as soon as it becomes available.

The movie poster is just ok; I do love the one djblack posted however.
