Mike Patton (Mr. Bungle, Faith no More) has been confirmed as the composer for the upcoming horror film The Vatican Tapes, which will star Michael Pena (American Hustle, Tower Heist) and Djimon Hounsou (Gladiator, Blood Diamond). The film, which is directed by Mark Neveldine, is about “A leaked video tape reveals a Vatican exorcism gone very, very awry.” It is aimed for release this year.
Patton is also celebrating as news has come forth that his score for The Place Beyond The Pines is in the group of eligible film scores for the 86th Academy Awards.
