[Random Cool] The History of the Slasher Film In LEGO Form!

To celebrate the release of You’re Next on Blu-ray in the UK next Monday, Lionsgate has created custom LEGO figures to serenade the history of the slasher film!

Directed by Adam Wingard, and starring Sharni Vinson, Nick Tucci, Wendy Glenn, AJ Bowen, Joe Swanberg, Margaret Laney, Amy Seimetz, Ti West, Calvin Reeder, Larry Fessenden, Kate Lyn Sheil, Barbara Crampton and Rob Moran, “You’re Next is a chilling warning scrawled in blood on a neighbor’s wall, starts an evening of bloody mayhem for the Davison family.

A lively reunion is abruptly brought to an end when a gang of mysterious killers, disguised in animal masks, wage an all-out assault on the Davison’s secluded home. Using a series of sophisticated traps, axes, crossbows and machetes, the family are slaughtered one by one until nowhere is safe. But neither the attackers, nor their victims, have counted on Erin (Vinson); an innocent girlfriend who has the killer instinct to fight back…

    Where’s Jason??

    • Matt Macabre

That was my first thought! Neat, but a major fail for neglecting Jason!

    • Evil_Flip

well, they had to leave room for Foxmask. Of these 6 The Shinning is probably my favorite slasher!?

  • ThunderDragoon

Agreed. Having Ghostface but not Jason? That’s a huge fail.

  • MachineGunGandhi

Let’s not forget about Leatherface either.
Jason, Freddy, Michael, and Leatherface are slasher icons.

  • HorrorFancy

    Those are pretty cute.

    Norman Bates is B&W…nice touch!

  • amazing.

Leatherface was created by an unknown (to me) Lego filmmaker, I think Lego Chain Saw Massacre is still up on Youtube… All I want is to be able to purchase these wee figures (and Doc Ock which was only available briefly).
