Each song on Terminal Twilight was talking of some sort of apocalypse, from financial ruin to this song’s new ice age. It tells the tale of a person who, in the middle of a freezing snowstorm, huddles next to a scarecrow for protection. And, when the time comes, this companion, this protector, will be put through the ultimate sacrifice and burned so that this person can live just that little bit longer, prolonging the inevitable.
