Raven Banner Entertainment has picked up Canadian rights to Cabin Fever: Patient Zero, part of the popular horror franchise originally created by Eli Roth.

Directed by Kaare Andrews (Altitude, The ABCs of Death) penned by Jake Wade Wall (The Hitcher), and stars Sean Astin (Lord of the Rings), Currie Graham, Ryan Donowho, Brando Eaton and Jillian Murray.

When a cruise ship in the Caribbean collides with an abandoned research vessel, a deadly virus is unleashed. Passengers must find a way to survive before the flesh eating disease consumes them all.

Raven Banner is set to release Cabin Fever: Patient Zero in early 2014 in 28 theatres across Canada as part of its Sinister Cinema series with partners Cineplex Entertainment.

To be clear I know the second wasn’t in theaters, just sayin it was so bad there is no way I would fork out theater cash for a cabin fever movie
