Described as a horror thriller on IMDB, Lionsgate/CodeBlack will release the psychological thriller Repentance from Forest Whitaker’s Significant Productions and JuntoBox Films on February 28, says ScreenDaily.
Whitaker stars with Anthony Mackie and Mike Epps as a man who kidnaps and tortures a psychiatrist he believes may be responsible for the death of his mother.
“An earnest life-coach/author, Thomas Carter, is mysteriously abducted by a deranged client, Angel Sanchez, who delves into Thomas’ teachings and uses his spiritual messages of Karma – action and reaction (Vipaka), against him to terrorize him and his family for their past sins.”
Film Bridge International will introduce to buyers at the EFM when the film will receive its market premiere screening.
Philippe Caland directed from the screenplay he co-wrote with Shintaro Shimosawa.
