‘The Raid,’ ‘Killers’ and ‘V/H/S/2′ Directors Fight For ‘The Night Comes For Us’

Deadline is reporting that RADiUS-TWC has acquired North American rights to The Night Comes For Us, an action thriller that is directed by Timo Tjahjanto, whose film Killers, pictured, is playing Sundance.

KillersThe Raid: Redemption director Gareth Evans. The duo collaborated on the V/H/S/2 shorts “Safe Haven”.

Evans, whose sequel The Raid: Berandal is unveiling at Sundance through Sony Pictures Classics, will handle action direction in the film. It’s set to premiere tomorrow night. The film also brings back the stars of The Raid: Redemption, as martial artist Iko Uwais is choreographing the action mayhem and Taslim and Yayan Ruhian are starring.

Taslim plays a mobster who returns to his local crime family in Jakarta only to find himself trapped in a word of betrayal and chaos.

Evans will produce alongside Maya Barack Evans of PT Merantau Films and XYZ Films’ Nate Bolotin, Aram Tertzakian, Nick Spicer and Todd Brown.

The film will be released in 2015.
