[Exclusive] Ice Nine Kills Spoof ‘American Psycho’ For New Album

Today marks the release of hardcore band Ice Nine Kills third studio album The Predator Becomes The pretty (out via Outerloop Records), which is the follow-up to 2010’s Safe Is Just A Shadow. These guys have always been fans of horror and as a push for their new album they’ve decided to dub over one of the most infamous scenes of 2000’s American Psycho, the one where Patrick Bateman is playing some hip tunes to Paul Allen, only to brutally murder him with an axe moments later.

Vocalist Spencer Charnas comments on The Predator Becomes The Prey, saying, “I 100% feel this is our best album to date because we struck the perfect balance between diversity and cohesiveness. While no two songs really sound alike, the album feels very much like one piece of art. Lyrically, the record is definitely angry, but it exudes a positive energy at the same time. Aggressive music can in fact be therapeutic as long as you use it as an outlet for your demons, not as a blue print for your actions.

You can order the album via iTunes or MerchNow.
