Take a psychedelic trip into magic and madness with these exclusive new stills from Ben Wheatley’s A Field in England, opening in theaters and on VOD platforms February 7 via Drafthouse Films.

Written by Amy Jump and produced by Claire Jones and Andy Starke at Rook Films, “the film is set during the English Civil War of the mid-17th century and follows a small group of deserters fleeing from a raging battle who become caught up in a hunt for treasure.

While crossing a vast mushroom circle, which provides their first meal, the group quickly descend into a chaos of arguments, fighting and paranoia, and, as it becomes clear that the treasure they seek might be something other than gold, they slowly become victim to the terrifying energies trapped in the field.

    I loved Ben Wheatleys Kill List so i was licking my chops when i heard about his follow up film…man was i disappointed…a bunch of nothing that was overall a waste of time..
    i know this film will have its defendors and they will probably say that i am just not enlightened enough to get it… But i admit i dont get it nor would i want too…It has a few things that work well like the music and overall mood but that alone cannot carry a film…a big disappointment after falling in love with Wheatleys Kill List…
