Director Kelvin Tong (The Maid) has cast Nikki Reed (Twilight, Snap) in his upcoming horror thriller, Email which is due to shoot this May in Singapore. Per The Hollywood Reporter, it’s in the vein of The Ring and The Grudge.
The film, “stars Reed as a young journalist who travels to Singapore to investigate the mysterious circumstances of her sister’s death and discovers a string of bizarre killings involving a cursed email. Along the way she meets Ted, an ex-pat technology reporter, and together they face the supernatural forces and unravel a mysterious conspiracy far bigger than they expected.” Peter Poon’s SPJ Enterprises is producing with the help of Zachary Green, Leon Tong and Kat Goh.
Not to jump in the fray too early, but I’m hoping that’s a working title.
