Epic Pictures Seduced By ‘Nymph’; Trailer and Art Premiere! (Exclusive)
Debuting at the EFM, Epic Pictures Group will handle worldwide rights to the creature feature, Nymph, from Apocalypse of the Dead director Milan Todorovic, Bloody Disgusting learned.
“The story tells the tale of two young women who go on a Mediterranean vacation and uncover the watery lair of a killer mermaid hidden beneath an abandoned fortress.”
Nymph stars screen legend Franco Nero (Tarantino’s Django Unchained), Kristina Klebe (Halloween, Proxy), and Natalie Burn (The Expendables 2).
In addition to the art debut, we also exclusively have the film’s trailer that is guaranteed to seduce you. If anything, Nymph looks like a dark cross between Piranha, Sint (Saint) and Thale.
“Nymph has all the pieces of a film I’ve always dreamed of making – amazing locations, beautiful women, sea creatures, violence, and… Franco Nero! It was a great pleasure to work with such a fantastic cast and I believe we made a kick-ass ensemble of exciting action scenes, suspenseful chases, and epic fights on land and sea,” said director Milan Todorovic.
“Milan Todorovic is an amazing talent in the genre world. His Apocalypse of the Dead was a best selling zombie film in both the US and UK. His killer mermaid will redefine a new generation of terror for horror films around the world,” commented CEO Patrick Ewald of Epic Pictures Group.
“2013 was the year of Big Ass Spider! for Epic and now 2014 is the year of Nymph. From a giant killer spider to a sexy killer mermaid, it doesn’t get better than this!” states Epic Pictures Group co-founder, Shaked Berenson.
Epic Pictures Group will introduce the film this week at the European Film Market in Berlin.
Nymph was produced by Marko Jocic and Milan Todorovic and written by Barry Keating, Milan Konjevic, and Marko Backovic.
Daniel Roebuck has been cast as Santa Claus in Terrifier 3, Bloody Disgusting can exclusively report.
Writer-director Damien Leone is currently wrapping production on the highly-anticipated sequel, in which Art the Clown unleashes chaos on the unsuspecting residents of Miles County as they peacefully drift off to sleep on Christmas Eve.
“I’ve been holding this secret for a long time!” Roebuck tells Bloody Disgusting. “I’ve been really excited about it. I’m actually entering into the movies that I watch. It’s extraordinary. This is Terrifier bigger, badder, best.”
Roebuck appears in Terrifier 3 alongside returning cast members David Howard Thornton, Lauren LaVera, Samantha Scaffidi, Elliot Fullam, and AEW superstar Chris Jericho.
No stranger to iconic horror properties, Roebuck has squared off against Michael Myers in Rob Zombie’s Halloween II, played The Count in Zombie’s The Munsters, succumbed to The Tall Man’s sphere in Phantasm: Ravager, and investigated death in Final Destination.
A distinguished character actor with over 250 credits, Roebuck has also appeared in The Devil’s Rejects, 3 from Hell, Bubba Ho-Tep, John Dies at the End, The Fugitive, Lost, Agent Cody Banks, and The Man in the High Castle. Incidentally, he’s also playing Santa in the family drama Saint Nick of Bethlehem, due out later this year.
Terrifier 3 will be released in theaters nationwide later this year via Cineverse and Bloody Disgusting in conjunction with our partner on Terrifier 2, Iconic Events Releasing.
