I’ll be 100% honest and say that I’m sick and tired of hearing Guns N Roses “Sweet Child O’ Mine”. That opening guitar lick was incredible when I first heard it but is now pretty much like nails on a chalkboard for me. It’s been played to absolute death and then they played it that many times again. And again…and again…
But that doesn’t mean that a cover can’t take the original song and inject some new life into it. And that’s precisely what Scott Bradlee & Postmodern Jukebox did by taking the song and converting it into a New Orleans style jazz masterpiece. Featuring singer Miche Braden, it’s an absolutely brilliant take and is incredibly exciting. Give it a listen below and make sure to pick up the band’s album here.
