The pitch come from The Crazies screenwriter Ray Wright and has Shawn Levy and Dan Levine at 21 Laps are producing.
There’s no word yet on the plot, unfortunately.
“It’s exciting when an original idea takes off, particularly psychological horror which is such a visceral thrill to write,” Wright said in the release announcing the deal. “Dimension is the perfect home for it.”
Witches are all the rage after Paranormal Activity brought them back. Since then we’ve seen Rob Zombie’s Lords of Salem, as well as “American Horror Story: Coven” and WGNA’s forthcoming “Salem.”
