[TV] Tense New “Those Who Kill” Promos!

Published

Those who were as impressed with A&E’s “Bates Motel” as I was (sans the awful season finale) should be crazy excited for their next original series, “Those Who Kill,” starring Chloë Sevigny and James D’Arcy. With an incredible cast, &E continues to unload promising looking promos, although, I should point out that they don’t appear to be as daring as shows such as “Hannibal”. We’ll know more when it premieres March 3.

The project, which hails from Imagine Television and Fox 21, is an adaptation of a Danish crime series based on the books by Elsebeth Egholm and revolves around police detective Catherine Jensen (Sevigny) and forensic profiler Thomas Schaffer (D’Arcy), who possess a deep understanding of the serial killers they hunt.

Joe Carnahan directed the pilot from a script by Glen Morgan (“The X-Files,” “Millennium,” Final Destination).

The project for Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes is being described as a “fast-paced thriller,” and Deadline reports today that Violett Beane (Truth or Dare) has joined the cast.

Newcomer Jacob Robinson has also signed on to star in the mysterious thriller. Previously announced, Meghann Fahy (“White Lotus”) will be leading the cast.

Landon recently teased on Twitter, “This is my love letter to DePalma.”

Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach wrote the script.

Michael Bay, Jason Blum, Brad Fuller and Cameron Fuller — “who brought the script in to Platinum Dunes” — are producing the upcoming Drop. Sam Lerner is an executive producer.
