Drew Barrymore-Produced ‘Happy Camp’ Gets A Trailer!

Happy Camp

Before you sigh at the thought of Drew Barrymore producing a genre film, let’s not forget that she was behind Donnie Darko, as well as the super fun roller derby movie Whip It.

Next up is Gravitas Ventures newely acquired acquired under-the-radar thriller Happy Camp, produced by Drew Barrymore‘s Flower Films banner and helmed by first-timer Josh Anthony who stars in, wrote and directed the pic.

Deadline shares the trailer for the found-footage pic also starring Michael Barbuto, Anne Taylor, and Teddy Gilmore, “in the story of four filmmaker friends who visit the Northern California town of Happy Camp where hundreds of people have gone missing from the surrounding mountains, including one of the pals’ younger siblings decades ago, to film a documentary.

Gravitas has a VOD release set for March 25.

On her IMDB page it states that a movie called Animal is the thing she produced, and not Happy Camp. Did she do both, or did you guys mixed the two up.

      Same movie

Not the same movie. Animal is directed by Brett Simmons, Happy Camp is directed by Josh Anthony. On IMDB, Happy Camp is listed as “in-development”, so there’s no info at all. Maybe that’s why it doesn’t show up on Drew Barrymore’s page.

‘Happy Camp’ is an entirely different Movie than ‘Animal’. Looks like both are produced by Flower Films but ‘Animal’ is for Chiller Network and ‘Happy Camp’ is released March 25th on VOD. There is a trailer on DEADLINE.COM for ‘Happy Camp’ and it is on IMDb as Happy Camp (I) (There are 2 movies on IMDb with same title). Trailer looks badass! Like someone finally got it right.
