Attendants of San Antonio’s San Japan convention, which is dedicated to Japanese culture and anime, will be receiving an amazing experience as it has been confirmed that the Silent Hill Band, which is comprised of composer Akira Yamaoka, vocalist Mary Elizabeth McGlynn, drummer Joe Romersa, and bassist Troy baker, will be performing a concert! The convention takes place July 18 – 20, 2014.
San Japan Chairman Dave Henkin states, “We are quite excited to be able to bring out the infamous video game music composer to Texas. Fans of Silent Hill are in for a treat to what will be a once-in-a-lifetime concert in Texas.”
Baker is widely known to gamers for his roles in Bioshock: Infinite, The Last Of Us, Batman: Arkham Asylum, and more. McGlynn is known for her role as Major Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell.
If you’re going to this festival, I am insanely jealous of you. Seriously, it hurts my soul that I most likely will not be able to attend.
