There’s A 50/50 Chance ‘The Last Of Us’ Will Get A Sequel

LastOfUs

In a recent Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything), Naughty Dog Creative Director Neil Druckmann was asked what the chances are that The Last of Us will see a sequel. His answer? “Right now I’d say it’s 50/50.” Whichever side of the fence you find yourself on, it looks like this is something they’re still considering.

The Last of Us gets a lot of love here on Bloody Disgusting. The game received a rare perfect score in Vikki’s review, and we even included it in our list of the last generation’s greatest games. It’s a beautiful and often emotional game that you won’t soon forget. With that said, I don’t think it needs a sequel.

How about you? Is The Last of Us 2 something you would like to see, or is this better as a one-off experience?

I can honestly say last of us is up there in the top 15 best games I’ve EVER played,,along side Half life 2,morrowind, and Orcarina of time…but I honestly don’t think it needs a sequel, I love the ending and it leaves so much to think about. Most likely there will be tho 1) for money 2) for popularity. I’m in the majority tho that doesn’t what a sequel.

I’m on the fence. They would have to do it perfectly for it to work if Joel and Ellie came back as the protagonists. Somebody would probably have to die, and I don’t want to see either of them go. Then again, they could always make it about new people, but I don’t think it would have the same emotional impact as the original. If everybody has a really good idea and they are as passionate for the sequel as they were making this, I’d love to see a sequel. But if it’s just about money and not everybody is emotionally invested, then I don’t want to see one.

I think maybe another take on the epidemic about Bill and his partner would be an interesting twist. Bill did have that sweet ass machete that we never got use in the game.

I know it is perfect the way it is and do not really need a sequel, but something in my mind begs for a sequel so i could dive into the world of that characters again! I don’t know…
The only thing certain is that complaining or not,I would buy it for sure!
