February 27th, 1987 saw the release of A Nightmare On Elm St. 3: Dream Warriors, considered one of the best, if not the best, Nightmare film in the franchise. Starring Patricia Arquette and the return of Heather Langenkamp as Nancy Thompson, the film took the mythology of the first film and gave it a deeper backstory for the film’s villain, Freddy Krueger. It’s one of the greatest horror sequels ever and tonight I’m definitely gonna be popping in this badboy!

To celebrate the anniversary, I’ve got the film’s iconic theme song “Dream Warriors”, which was written and performed by 80′s metal stars Dokken. Head on down to relive the 80′s goodness!

Bah! I turn 25 today. If only I would have been born 2 years earlier!

I always knew the key to defeating Freddy was hair metal!
(I wish I wasn’t 2 months old when this came out- it’s hard to sneak into a movie without being able to walk.)
