‘Jurassic World’ Will Have A New Villain!

…ah ah ah you didn’t say the magic word!

The great Vincent D’Onofrio, pictured, who was completely wasted in Sinister, is taking on the villain role in Universal’s franchise reboot Jurassic World, reports Deadline.

Hopefully the star of Full Metal Jacket can bring some “fun” to Jurassic World much like Wayne Knight did of the Dennis T. Nedry character in Steven Spielberg’s 1993 Jurassic Park.

The site also adds that Indian star Irrfan Khan (Life of Pi, Amazing Spider-Man) also joined the film that Bryce Dallas Howard and Chris Pratt are also attached to star in.

Colin Trevorrow is directing Jurassic World from a screenplay he wrote with Derek Connolly. Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley are producing, and it is set for a 3D release June 12, 2015.

Don’t get me wrong, I am a fan of D’Onofrio and his work, but why does a movie about dinosaurs running amok need a human villain. I get that in the original Wayne Knight was kind of a bad guy, but I wouldn’t say a villain. When I think villain, I think Darth Vader or Lex Luthor, hopefully it’s just a unintended usage of the work.
