‘Afflicted’ Trailer Transforms Man Into Horrific Hero!

Watch as super powers become super horrific…

We now have the really impressive trailer for Clif Prowse and Derek Lee’s Afflicted (read our review), which looks like a cross between V/H/S and Chronicle.

The found-footage horror looks really awesome, and thankfully we don’t have to wait too long. The film will be in limited theaters as well as VOD (iTunes, Amazon, VUDU, Google Play, Cable On Demand, Playstation and XBOX) on April 4, 2014 via CBS Films.

In the pic, “This terrifying horror thriller follows two best friends who set out on the trip of a lifetime around the world. Their journey, documented every step of the way, soon takes a dark and unexpected turn after an encounter with a beautiful woman in Paris leaves one of them mysteriously afflicted.

Clif Prowse, Derek Lee, Edo Van Breemen, Zachary Gray and Baya Rehaz all star in the film.

Saw this movie during a special advanced screening and LOVED IT!! Way more intense than I expected with some legitimate scares. Great action, fun film making; a definite must see.

@Greenkali, please tell me the extreme shaky cam (seen here in this trailer) which makes things nearly impossible to see (in many scenes), isn’t prevalent throughout the whole movie. 🙂

  • djblack1313

this looks good but the fucking EXTREME shaky cam times a million already (just going by this trailer’s footage) will most likely turn me off from seeing the flick. again, this looks pretty good and reminds me a bit of CHRONICLE but i just despise camera work that makes THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT’s camera work look like they used steadicam. LOL.

@djblack1313, I’ve seen plenty of “found footage” horror, and AFFLICTED didn’t stand out as being too shaky. NOTHING like “28 DAYS LATER,” “QUARANTINE” or “BLAIR WITCH.”

@Greenkali, phew! that’s good to hear! i really do want to see this film. 🙂

Limited theaters?! I saw this back at Fantastic Fest and it was better than any found footage film released in years. Definitely deserves a better release- But at least it’s a sign that found footage is on its way out.

I’m in. There are scenes that look like Sam B bustin’ down the doors.

“looks like a cross between V/H/S and Chronicle.”

This actually looks good so I’d scrap that remark since only 1/3 of VHS was good at best and Chronicle was absolutely shit.

    • Greenkali

      @Raven1417, WAY better than CHRONICLE!

  • snakemanuk1983

this movie looks pretty sweet im a fan of the found footage genre. @greenkali. 28 days later is not a found footage dude

    • Greenkali

@snakemanuk1983, True…but shaky. Really damn shaky.
