J.K. Simmons To Investigate The Past In ‘Terminator: Genesis’

Nice! J.K. Simmons will be joining the cast of Terminator: Genesis. Per THR, “According to sources, Simmons will play a weary and alcoholic detective who has followed a bizarre case involving Sarah Connor and robots for more than three decades (since 1984, which, not coincidentally, is the year the original movie, directed by James Cameron, was released).

I dig everything about this except for the practically obligatory alcoholic crutch.

Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier penned the script. In theaters July 1, 2015, Emilia Clarke is on board to play Sarah Connor and Jason Clarke will play John Connor. Jai Courtney is playing Kyle Reese. Arnold Schwarzenegger will also return in his iconic role. Alan Taylor is directing.

I dont know what to make of this reboot remake(whatever you want to call it), its got a good cast( I think), it needs to have a damn good story so it fits along side the first two films without fucking them up. To me the first terminator film was a horror chase movie, they need to bring back the fear of an unstoppable killing machine hunting you down. Is arnie gonna be the T800 or the person it was based on? It needs to be rated R, its not gonna be though eh?

Totally agree! I love that chase element that was completely destroyed in Terminator: Salvation
