Breaking: Sony Traps Hot Duo for ‘Ghostbusters’ Reboot!

Published

on

Twitter writer Nikki Finke is reporting that Columbia Pictures already has their proton packs strapped on and are aiming to trap two directors for the long-gestured Ghostbusters III.

According to her tweet, 21 Jump Street and Lego Movie duo Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are currently in talks to replace Ivan Reitman, who left the project after the sad passing of Harold Ramis.

This is pretty spectacular news as not only are these guys killer directors, but it also sort of indirectly confirms the speculation that Jonah Hill was in talks to play one of the new Ghost Busters.

Harold Ramis, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Rick Moranis and Sigourney Weaver were all at one time rumored to be returning, although now the story is completely being rewritten. It’s said to be about a ragtag group of paranormal researchers reopen their notorious ghost removal service, and a new generation of Ghostbusters is brought on board to be green slimed and trained to contain the mischievous spirits.
