Kate Bush Announces First Tour In 35 Years

British songwriter Kate Bush has announced that she will be performing 15 shows at the infamous Eventim Apollo in London this August and September. Bush stated, via her website, “I hope you will be able to join us and I look forward to seeing you there.“. It is the first time that Bush will go on a tour since 1979. She had done a six-week tour through the UK as well as mainland Europe and then retreated away from live performances almost entirely, popping out occasionally for festival dates or charity events.

Bush is one of England’s most successful solo female artists, having released several albums that went on to achieve platinum status. Her most popular album, Hounds Of Love, features the hit songs “Running Up That Hill” and “Cloudbusting”, both of which have been covered multiple times by various bands (such as Placebo, Novembre, Within Temptation, and more). Her last album was 2011’s 50 Words For Snow.

Dammit, that headline is a bit misleading. I was hoping for a tour, not a residency. Bugger.

I’d love to see her live but London is too far away.

I’d be super into seeing her!

Shelob… Disappointed it wasn’t an actual tour as well, because while I’m bored to death by the “Snow” disc, damn I’d do just about anything to see her live!
