‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ Motion Capture Battle

Empire posted a pretty cool behind-the-scenes look at Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.

What you see is a mo-cap action sequence coming together, with Toby Kebbell’s alpha ape, Koba, tearing his way through a scene at the Ape Village.

In theaters July 11, Matt Reeves directs with Andy Serkis, Keri Russell, Gary Oldman, Jason Clarke, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Judy Greer and Jocko Sims starring.

A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.
