Last week ago series writer Douglas Petrie revealed that the overall arc for the fourth season of FX’s “American Horror Story” would take place at a carnival. “We just started season 4,” Petrie stated on the cast before confirming that the setting will in fact be carnival-themed, “Yes, it does not have a title. That’s the idea, very roughly that’s the idea.”
But that not having a title thing changed quickly, as series creator Ryan Murphy has confirmed that it will be called “American Horror Story: Freak Show”. The only other details at this time is that the series will take place in the 1950s and that Jessica Lange will return with a German accent. It will be her last appearance on the series.
As with every other season of AHS, “Freak Show” will debut on FX in October.
