Latest ‘Terminator’ Casting Seeks Revenge…

Borys Kit of THR broke this “tidbit” of casting news for Terminator: Genesis, which is anything but small…

Says Kit, Attack the Block‘s John Boyega, pictured above, tested not only for Star Wars but also for the role of Miles Dyson’s son in Genesis!

Doctor Miles Bennett Dyson (Joe Morton) was a major player in James Cameron’s 1991 Terminator 2: Judgment Day. He was the inventor of the neural-net processor which would lead to the development of Skynet, a computer A.I. intended to control electronically linked weapons and defend the United States, but which would later seize control of the world and launch a global war of extermination against humanity. – Terminator Wiki.

John Connor and his Terminator intercept Sarah Connor’s attempts to assassinate him, leading to a massive shootout and the eventual death of Dyson. As you may recall, he did have a kid, playing with a remote control car, who must have a integral role in Genesis. Boyega is an incredible actor, and it would be refreshing to see him in the role, instead of Michael B. Jordan, who appears to be studios new attempt at a Will Smith…

  • This kid was amazing in attack the block. Glad to see studios are looking at him for more roles, not that Michael B. Jordan is terrible, dude has charisma and talent as well.

This site is so desperate and ridiculous. Why attack Michael B Jordan? BD has become an opinion blog anymore with a bit of news scattered throughout.

I was reading this on Ain’t It Cool and I couldn’t believe the hate for Attack the Block from commenters – some weird moralistic backlash against the protagonists being too scumbaggy to root for, such bullshit. I think they really missed the point, that movie was so goddamn tight and entertaining.

Oh God I loved his role in Attack the Block! He’s like a young Denzel Washington with a british accent! He’s got potential so I’m excited for him to expand his acting career!
