Summit Entertainment is prepping its Vin Diesel fantasy-actioner The Last Witch Hunter by tapping Dallas Buyers Club writer Melisa Wallack to polish the script, Variety reports.
Diesel, who’s been attached since last year, “stars as an immortal witch hunter partnering with a witch to stop the covens of New York City from unleashing a plague on humanity.”
The Crazies‘ Breck Eisner is still directing.
Summit also announced that Lakeshore Entertainment has joined as a partner on the project and will co-finance and co-produce the film, with the company’s Tom Rosenberg, Gary Lucchesi and Eric Reid exec producing.
