Straight off Bad Milo!, the awesome Ken Marino, pictured, has joined the cast of Columbia’s Goosebumps, the big screen adaptation of R.L. Stine’s popular series of YA horror tales, says Deadline.
Marino will play Coach Carr, the blowhard coach at Greendale High who wades into battle when monsters overrun the school. Jack Black, Amy Ryan, and Dylan Minnette are also starring.
Rob Letterman (Gulliver’s Travels, Shark Tale) is directing the adaptation of the R.L. Stine books series in which a young boy moves with his mother and sister to the small town of Greendale, Maryland. There, he meets veteran Young Adult horror author R. L. Stine, played by Jack Black. The infamous Slappy – a demonic ventriloquist’s dummy – comes into play and sets free the many many demons of Stine’s mind. Stine’s niece teams with the boy to put all the evil genies back in the bottle.
Filming is set for both Atlanta and Los Angeles.
Sony has set a March 23, 2016 release.
