‘Bad Milo!’ Star Ken Marino Has ‘Goosebumps’!
Straight off Bad Milo!, the awesome Ken Marino, pictured, has joined the cast of Columbia’s Goosebumps, the big screen adaptation of R.L. Stine’s popular series of YA horror tales, says Deadline.
Marino will play Coach Carr, the blowhard coach at Greendale High who wades into battle when monsters overrun the school. Jack Black, Amy Ryan, and Dylan Minnette are also starring.
Rob Letterman (Gulliver’s Travels, Shark Tale) is directing the adaptation of the R.L. Stine books series in which a young boy moves with his mother and sister to the small town of Greendale, Maryland. There, he meets veteran Young Adult horror author R. L. Stine, played by Jack Black. The infamous Slappy – a demonic ventriloquist’s dummy – comes into play and sets free the many many demons of Stine’s mind. Stine’s niece teams with the boy to put all the evil genies back in the bottle.
Filming is set for both Atlanta and Los Angeles.
Sony has set a March 23, 2016 release.

‘Drop’ – Violett Beane Joins the Cast of Christopher Landon’s New Thriller
Christopher Landon (Happy Death Day, Freaky) is staying busy here in 2024, directing not only the werewolf movie Big Bad but also an upcoming thriller titled Drop.
The project for Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes is being described as a “fast-paced thriller,” and Deadline reports today that Violett Beane (Truth or Dare) has joined the cast.
Newcomer Jacob Robinson has also signed on to star in the mysterious thriller. Previously announced, Meghann Fahy (“White Lotus”) will be leading the cast.
Landon recently teased on Twitter, “This is my love letter to DePalma.”
Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach wrote the script.
Michael Bay, Jason Blum, Brad Fuller and Cameron Fuller — “who brought the script in to Platinum Dunes” — are producing the upcoming Drop. Sam Lerner is an executive producer.
THR notes, “The film is a Platinum Dunes and Blumhouse production for Universal.”
