11 Bit Studios is making a game about war, but this will be entirely unlike Call of Duty and its myriad clones. Rather than place us in the combat boots of a silent soldier, This War of Mine will explore war from the perspective of the helpless civilians who are caught in the middle of it. Snipers keep you from leaving during the day, so your only chance to gather precious, life-saving resources is to scavenge at night.
According to the developer, you’ll be forced to make “life-and-death decisions driven by your conscience. Try to protect everybody from your shelter or sacrifice some of them to endure the hardships. During war, there are no good or bad decisions; there is only survival. The sooner you realize that, the better.” Read on for more.
