At first glance, this speed painting from digital artist RJ Palmer looks like a deleted scene or Easter Egg from last year’s survival horror game Outlast. It isn’t, but now I have an urge to play a horror-themed Pokemon game.
In this scenario, I imagine a lone, tenacious trainer exploring a bit too deep into a cave with the hope that she’ll find the legendary Pokemon whose name is whispered about by the nearby townsfolk. She eventually finds it, its intelligent eyes reflecting the light of her camera, like two fireflies surrounded by pitch black. That’s when she suddenly goes cold as she realizes she left her Master Ball at home.
Can we all finally agree that Pokemon are terrifying?
